SAN ANTONIO -- Man's best friend is trying to impress some judges at the annual Alamo City Cluster Of Dogs Shows in San Antonio.
You'll find dogs in all shapes and sizes, with more than 150 breeds from around the world getting brushed and trimmed for the judges.
One poodle owner said preparing for the show is like being a surgeon.
"When you groom a poodle, that is just about what it takes," the dog owner said.
One of the biggest dogs at the show is a Tibetan Mastiff named Kalis that weighs 140 pounds. Kalis is very gentle unless he is at work.
"Their job is a guard dog, that is all they do," said Kalis' owner. "They do it in stages. First, they try to intimidate you and then if you don't leave it escalates up to the point where you do want to leave."
Kalis was very nice to the judges, his owner said.
