George Strait To Perform In San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO -- County music legend George Strait announced Saturday plans for a concert to take place in San Antonio. Strait made the announcement at the opening festivities of the 28th Annual George Strait Team Roping Classic finals in San Antonio.

George Strait announced to the hometown crowd that he is bringing his superstar tour to the Alamodome. The stadium show is scheduled for May 1 and includes Strait along with Reba McEntire and special guests Lee Ann Womack and the Randy Rogers Band. Tickets go on sale March 27 at 10:00 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

Earlier this week, Strait announced plans to perform a full concert in Nashville, for the first time since 2004 when he broke the house record for most attendance.

The Music City date is set for April 28 at the Bridgestone Arena and will also include 2010 tour mates Reba and Lee Ann Womack.

Tickets for the Nashville show go on sale March 20 at 10:00 a.m. at www.ticketmaster.com, charge by phone at 800-745-5300 and at the Bridgestone Arena Box Office.
