Taylor Newman, Nicole Colla Had Internet Contact With Friends, Mother Says

PORT ARANSAS, Texas -- Two missing San Antonio girls, last seen near mile marker 11 in Port Aransas Monday night, were safe and sound on Wednesday, one of their mother's said. Taylor Newman (pictured at left), 11, and Nicole "Nicki" Colla, 12, were staying at the Island Retreat Condos with Newman's parents.On Wednesday afternoon, Jenny Newman told KSAT 12 that the girls had returned to the Newman's condo, saying that they had met friends in the area during Spring Break.The girls were walking on the beach around 8 p.m. Monday and were staying in contact with Newman's mother by texting her about their location, police said. Jenny Newman said she last heard from the girls around midnight.
