25-year-old man shot to death at apartment complex on city's South Side

Shooting happened in 8200 block of South Flores Street

SAN ANTONIO – A 25-year-old man was shot to death at an apartment complex on the city’s South Side.

Police said the call for the shooting at RiverBend Apartment Homes in the 8200 block of South Flores Street came in about 6:30 p.m.

"Officers were called here for a shooting, a drive-by. When they arrived, they found the victim in the parking lot," San Antonio Police Sgt. Trey Roussel said.

There is no word on how many times the man was shot.

Authorities said a blue sedan, a black sedan and a truck were possibly involved in the shooting. It’s unknown if it was drug-related. Neighbors say the neighborhood is usually quiet and safe.

Resident Pedro Zamarron said his two daughters ran inside their apartment after seeing the body of the man on the ground.

"They were swimming and then they went inside, scared," he said.

While authorities have not yet released the victim's name, family members at the scene identified him as Robert Reyes Jr.

Police are asking for the public's help. Anyone with information about the drive-by shooting is asked to contact local authorities.
