Police said the two men and the woman, all said to be in the their 20s, then drove the stolen car to a Nacogdoches Gold and Silver Exchange, located in the 13300 block of Nacogdoches Road. That's when, while the woman waited in the car, the two men broke through a backdoor freezer area of an adjacent Caribbean meat market and restaurant and into the jewelry store, police said.

Once inside the building, the owner of the jewelry store said the two men went through the ceiling drywall to enter his store, cutting a hole in his ceiling and destroying both pipes and electrical wiring.

The pair then stole a bunch of jewelry and then went back through the ceiling into the adjacent restaurant, police said. But in doing so, the pair set off a silent alarm.

When police arrived on scene, they surrounded the building before entering through the same Caribbean restaurant to find the two men hiding in the bathroom. All three, including the woman waiting in the car, are now in police custody.

The owner says the back of his store is a mess, as his air conditioner does not work now. He's presently doing inventory to make sure he has recovered everything.

The investigation into the heist is ongoing, police said.
