Police in Seguin have caught up with a third suspect in a violent attack at a house party last weekend.
However, they are still looking for a fourth man.
Police responded to the home in the 700 block of Weinert Street March 10 after receiving a call about a stabbing.
Officers found a man, believed to be in his 30s, who had been stabbed more than half a dozen times, according to Det. Cobey Crow with the Seguin Police Department.
"It was a heinous act. There was no reason for it. The people at the residence were having a get-together. They weren't causing any trouble. There were children there," Crow said.
Police arrested Raul Rangel, 45, and Manuel Salazar, III, 23, the following day on a charge of burglary with the intent to commit a felony.
Michael Rangel, 23, was taken into custody by authorities in San Antonio this past Sunday evening.
Crow said a fourth suspect is still on the loose. However, he declined to release his name.
He said it appears at least one of the men had been thrown out of the party earlier in the evening.
Later, Crow said, all four suspects returned and forced their way inside the home.
"(They) entered the house, of course without their permission,” Crow said. “A fight ensued and the stabbing started.”
The victim, stabbed as many as eight times, was in critical condition and had to be flown to a hospital. Crow said he is expected to recover.
