Law Enforcement To Focus Search In NE Bexar County

A search was being conducted Friday in northeast Bexar County in connection with the disappearance of Alamo Heights teacher Dianne Tilly, authorities told KSAT 12 News.

Bexar County sheriff's deputies told KSAT 12 News they received a tip that led them to a field near Loop 1604 and Rocket Lane.

Deputies wouldn't say what they are specifically looking for, but did confirm the search is connected to the Tilly case.

Authorities told KSAT 12 News that a teenage suspect will be brought in to help them in the search.

The girl is Ronnie Neal's daughter, who is in juvenile custody on a charge of delinquent conduct by reason of aggravated robbery.

Ronnie Neal is also jailed on aggravated robbery.

When the two were arrested Nov. 24, they were in possession of some of Tilly's belongings, authorities said.

Detectives combed the brushy area and plan to bring in search dogs and horses to help in the search. A San Antonio Police helicopter is also hovering the area.

The search area is among several stretches of land along Loop 1604 authorities plan to comb.

The search comes as Tilly's family and friends planned to remember her at a church service of "comfort and celebration."

The service is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Alamo Heights Methodist Church at 825 Basse Road.

On Thursday, sheriff's investigators released surveillance video of a woman seen with the teenage suspect.

Detectives said the video shows the woman and the teenage suspect using Tilley's stolen ATM card at a Diamond Shamrock off Interstate 35 and N. New Braunfels early Nov. 24, one day after the teacher was reported missing.

In another development, evidence technicians processed a Cadillac Thursday believed to be driven at one point by Neal.

The owner of the car, a woman, was questioned by detectives who said she brought the car on her own free will to "clear things up".
