One of those counts relates to an allegation originating in New Braunfels.

Sconzo was formally charged in the Bexar County magistrate's office, with bail set at $50,000. Another $20,000 bail was set for the second charge of indecency with a child in Comal County related to the New Braunfels allegation.

Law enforcement officials provided few details into Sconzo's background, including whether he was employed by the Northeast Independent School District of which Huebner Road Elementary is a part.

Reports first surfaced two weeks ago that the Northeast Independent School District was investigating alleged sexual offenses at the school. The investigation reportedly resulted from claims last month of at least three students alleging that they had been molested while on campus.

The sex crimes unit of the San Antonio Police Department then began to gather evidence, leading to Wednesday's arrest.

In addition to the $70,000 bail, Sconzo also was ordered to report regularly to county law enforcement officials. He also is now banned from having contact with any child under the age of 17.

If found guilty, Sconzo faces two to 20 years in prison for each of the felony charges with which he is being charged.
