SAN ANTONIO -- A self-proclaimed psychic was found guilty Thursday of bilking several clients out of more than $200,000.
It took a jury about 40 minutes to find Jennifer Nichole Evans, who went by the moniker "Miss Brooks," guilty of theft by coercion.
The punishment phase of the trial begins Friday.
Evans could face up to life in prison.
Witnesses testified during the trial that Evans promised good health and mended lives in exchange for cash, jewelry, furniture and other items of value.
