SAN ANTONIO -- City leaders blasted NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue on Thursday on the night before he's scheduled to meet with the New Orleans Saints to discuss their future.
Tagliabue plans to meet with the Saints while he's in San Antonio, but not with any city leaders, who consider it another snub from the NFL.
Tagliabue has proposed another split schedule for the Saints next season, with some games in Louisiana and some in San Antonio.
However, many locals and several Saints players would rather play all their home games next year in the Alamodome.
"He doesn't seem to really want to do that," said Kevin Wolff, a city councilman for District 9. "Or maybe it's other owners. They've been ignoring us for 15 years. They should not ignore us so much."
It will be the first time Tagliabue has met with Saints players since they relocated from New Orleans. The Superdome won't be ready for football until at least next November.
