With unpleasant weather slated for Saturday night, organizers of Luminaria said Friday that the annual art celebration will be held rain or shine.
"What we'll do is we'll take some of the installations and put them inside the (Henry B. Gonzales) convention center," said Luminaria Artistic Director Richard Rosen.
The annual celebration brings some of the best art and artists the country has to offer to San Antonio.
More than 600 artists will showcase original works of art in a variety of mediums, such as dance, new media, music and theatre.
Last year's show drew more than 315,000 people downtown and organizers are hoping for a bigger turnout this year, if mother nature cooperates.
"It won’t be the same you know as it would if we were outside, but we're actually confident, we think it's not going to rain until it’s over," said Rosen.
Luminaria runs from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday at HemisFair Park. Admission is free.
