SAN ANTONIO -

Seven people were injured in a single-vehicle rollover wreck on Interstate 35 South on Thursday morning.

According to the Medina County Sheriff's Office, two medical helicopters were called to assist EMS units.

A sergeant at the scene said two adults -- a man and a woman -- were seriously injured and taken by medical helicopters to area hospitals. Five children in the car were not seriously hurt, the sergeant said, but they were also taken to area hospitals as a precaution.

A Medina County Sheriff's spokesman said the wreck occurred sometime after 10 a.m. on I-35 South near mile marker 127.

That mile marker is near Natalia, about halfway between Lytle and Devine.

He said the left rear tire on the family's blue minivan blew and the driver lost control, rolling the van several times.
