842 dogs attend San Antonio Rampage game
Event may set Guinness Book of World Record
A world record may have been set at a San Antonio Rampage hockey game Saturday night.
The team invited fans to bring their dogs to the AT&T Center in hopes of setting a world record for most dogs attending a sporting event.
Rampage officials said 842 dogs showed up for the fifth annual Pucks & Paws event.
The team was required to get at least 600 dogs to attend the game in order to be considered for a world record. The Rampage will file paperwork and evidence to be recognized as an official Guinness Book of World Record holder.
In addition, 25 dogs were adopted at the event.
The Rampage also won the game, a 5-1 victory over the Peoria Rivermen.
