SAN ANTONIO -- The family of a teenage girl has filed a lawsuit against the Maverick County Sheriff's Department.
The lawsuit alleges that Maverick County sheriff's deputies violated the civil rights of Susie Aguilera, 16, when she was arrested following a party in Eagle Pass in August.
Deputies claim that Aguilera was driving under the influence when she allegedly tried to run down a lawman with her car.
Aguilera claims that the arrest left her with bruises and a black eye.
The lawsuit also names Maverick County and Maverick County Sheriff Tomas Herrera as defendants.
The Texas Rangers are investigating the claims.
