AAA to release Thanksgiving travel forecast Tuesday

Triple-A is set to release its Thanksgiving travel forecast on Tuesday with its predictions on whether gas prices will stay lower.

Ever year the auto club predicts how much traffic there will be on the ground and in the air as Americans travel to see family and friends during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Triple-A will also tell travelers what to expect in the way of gas prices, airfare and hotel costs.

Gas prices have dropped a nickel in San Antonio in the last week to an average of $3.18 per gallon of regular unleaded.

The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.43 with a much lower average in Texas at $3.19.
