Geoffrey Joseph Mosel posted $150,000 bail Sunday after being arrested for sexually assaulting two children.
Mosel has been charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
According to an arrest affidavit, Mosel abused his victims, ages eight and 11 at the time of the incidents, at a relative's vacant house. The report says the assaults took place four times between the spring of 2009 and summer of 2010.
The affidavit said Mosel took an unidentified object and struck the girls across their faces when they told him they would not allow the abuse. The girls suffered bloody noses and busted lips. The report said Mosel told a concerned family member that the girls were injured by falling off the swing set at a local park.
According to the report, Mosel manipulated the girls into keeping the abuse a secret by threatening to kill them and a family member if anyone found out. One victim eventually confided in a family member more than two years after the alleged crimes took place.
Although Mosel is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child for an incident on May 15, 2010, the affidavit says four assaults happened between 2010 and 2011. More charges are possible.
