A former Air Force military training instructor was found guilty Tuesday in a court-martial involving a sex scandal.
According to an Air Force news release, Staff Sgt. William F. Romero was found guilty of having unprofessional relationships with four technical training students and for committing adultery with one of the students.
A military judge sentenced Romero to 60 days confinement and 30 days restriction to Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. Romero was also sentenced to 30 days hard labor without confinement to run concurrently and had his military rank reduced to E-2 (Airman). In addition, he must forfeit $900 pay.
The court-martial is the 13th conducted in connection with a series of sex allegations against military training instructors at JBSA-Lackland.
