Police believe alcohol is to blame for a accident that sent two people to the hospital.
It happened just before midnight on Interstate 10 near Huebner.
Police say a woman was speeding down the highway when she lost control, went over a median and struck the edge of a bridge.
The impact of the crash was so severe, the car was cut in half.
The driver was trapped inside for a short time and had to cut out of her car.
The woman, and a man who was also in the car were taken to University Hospital.
Their conditions are unknown.
