Authorities in Fort Worth have issued an Amber Alert for an 11-year-old girl who was believed to be taken by her mother. Jessica Smith was last seen Tuesday around 2:30 p.m.

She is 5 feet 1 inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds. Jessica has brown eyes and straight, brown hair just past her shoulders in length.

Texas Department of Public Safety officials believe her mother, Kimberly Smith, took her and fled the area.

Kimberly Smith is 42-years-old and stands 5 feet 2 inches tall. She weighs approximately 150 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

They are believed to be traveling in a silver 2007 Mazda CX-9 SUV with Texas license plate BMZ-390.

The vehicle has tinted windows and a pink and green Harley Davidson decal on the rear window, according to DPS.

Officials have reason to believe Jessica is in danger. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Fort Worth Police Department at 817-335-4222.
