Animal Care Services takes the national lead in the 2012 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge
Historic live release rate moves shelter into first place in field of 50
With less than a month of competition to go, Animal Care Services is now in first place in the nationwide ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge.
The contest, with a grand prize of $100,000, pits dozens of animal shelters against each other to get more animals adopted or returned to their owners than ever before.
Now, with the click of computer mouse, the community can help ACS get all that much closer to No Kill and the grand prize.
The shelter needs votes to win the Challenge's community engagement award by accumulating the most online votes and Facebook "likes" for an additional $25 thousand dollars for shelter programs.
Daily voting takes place online Oct. 17 to midnight, Oct. 31 by logging on to VoteToSaveLives.org
Click on City of San Antonio Animal Care Services and follow the directions to cast your vote.
Supporters can vote for ACS everyday and must have a Facebook account to confirm their vote. Animal Care's Facebook page is listed as "City of San Antonio Animal Care Services."
