SAN ANTONIO -

San Antonio police say a homeless woman stabbed her boyfriend in the back during an argument on the River Walk.

Officials said the incident happened just before 6 p.m. Sunday night in front of the Hotel Valencia.

According to police, the homeless woman saw her boyfriend talking to another woman.

Officers said the homeless woman then pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed the man in the back.

The victim was identified as 34-year-old Justin Martin. Police said he is also homeless.

Police said Martin was stabbed near his spine and was transported to the San Antonio Military Medical Center.

Officers could not judge the extent of his injuries, but Martin did have full use of his extremities.

Authorities said his girlfriend stayed in the area and was arrested without incident. Officers described her as a female in her mid-thirties.
