Arrest made in triple shooting at used car lot
Doran Walker arrested in Louisiana
Sheriff’s Deputies in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, arrested a man wanted in connection with the shooting deaths of two men on the northeast side last week.
Doran James Walker, 27, is accused of shooting and killing Larry Williams and Stephen McGowan, and injuring Alvin Mathis at a used car dealership on Foster Road last Tuesday.
Det. Marin Molina, with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Department, said detectives tracked Walker (pictured at left) to Louisiana using the license plate of the car seen leaving the scene of the shooting.
Molina said the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department spotted the car, a green Honda, at a New Orleans housing project, and pulled Walker over when he tried to leave the area.
Molina said Walker, who is awaiting extradition, confessed to the crime when detectives interviewed him.
Molina said Walker had an ongoing dispute with the victims over some items and money he said had been stolen from him, and had threatened the victims on his twitter account.
Detectives are still trying to locate Walker’s brother, Donderick Walker, who they say was with him at the time of the shooting.
Both men face capital murder charges.
