SAN ANTONIO -

Calm and composed, a now-10-year-old girl told how her computer teacher at John Berchmans Catholic School, Arturo Flores, fondled her while she was an 8-year-old third-grader.

The child’s testimony came during the first day of Flores' trial on indecency with a child charges.

Flores, 56, is accused of inappropriately touching two third-grade girls during computer class at the school.

One of the victims said that Flores touched her as he helped her with her computer work in the classroom on May 30, 2011.

“After he was done helping me, his hand would touch me and go back up,” she testified.

“Where would he touch you?” asked Prosecutor Jessica Frazier.

“My privates,” the child answered.

“Those dirty little secrets began to surface in that computer class that they both loved to take,” Frazier told the jury during her opening statement.

In his opening remarks, Flores’ lawyer suggested that the children’s crowded classroom provided no opportunity for indecency.

Testimony will continue on Tuesday in Judge Raymond Angelini’s 187th District Court.

If he is convicted, Flores is facing a punishment range of from two to 20 years in prison.
