Bexar County deputy resigns after DWI arrest
Susanna Cervantes arrested in January, faces multiple charges
A Bexar County sheriff's deputy who was arrested in January on several charges including resisting arrest and DWI has resigned.
According to the sheriff's office, 35-year-old detention officer Susanna Cervantes resigned last week.
Cervantes was arrested in early January after an SAPD officer reported seeing her crash into two concrete barriers in a far West Side parking lot.
Officers said they had to use stun gun to subdue Cervantes after she became combative with them
Cervantes also reportedly kicked out the back of a patrol vehicle while she was detained.
Cervantes was charged with resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and driving while intoxicated.
