Bexar County Sheriff's Deputy Reynaldo Fraga-Flores was arrested over the weekend after he was accused of beating his wife with a refrigerator door.

San Antonio police were called to Flores' home early Saturday morning after a call from his wife stating he had assaulted her.

She told officers Flores slammed her in the face with a refrigerator door and broke her jaw after the pair got home from a night out.

Police said they asked Flores for his side of the story and he said his wife did it to herself. 

Flores was arrested and released hours later on $5,000 bail. He was charged with assault causing bodily injury and has been placed on administrative leave while the Bexar County Sheriff's Department investigate the incident.
