Lots to look forward to in the entertainment at the Rodeo. Some big names and familiar faces are on the entertainment schedule this year.
San Antonio native Austin Mahone will play the Rodeo for the first time. The 16-year-old Youtube sensation got his start covering pop songs and posting the videos. He grew up in San Antonio, La Vernia and Seguin. Mahone plays Sunday after the 1:00 p.m. rodeo session.
The entertainment line-up also includes the Eli Young Band on Friday at 7:30 p.m., Lee Brice on Saturday at 1:00p.m., and Toby Keith on Saturday night after the 7:30 p.m. rodeo session.
Reba McEntire returns to the stage for her 13th S.A. Rodeo. The first time was back in 1986. She will play Monday night after the 7:30 p.m. rodeo session.
And Tuesday night is the Rodeo's Faith and Family night, starting at 7:00p.m. The theme night features the gospel band Casting Crowns. Though they are not new to the music world, this is their first time playing the S.A. Rodeo. They take the stage after the rodeo events.
The carnival also promises some changes this year, with new rides including the Wave Swinger. Unlimited ride wristbands on weekdays are $15 and on weekends are $20.
