Big rig jackknifes, closes I-37 at Brooklyn

A big rig driver lost control of his 18-wheeler on the northbound lanes of Interstate 37 near Brooklyn, causing it to jackknife early Friday morning.

A set of wheels on the cab dangled off the bridge when the 18-wheeler came to a stop at around 1:15 a.m.

Slick roads due to light rain might have been a factor in the crash, San Antonio police said.

All lanes of I-37 North were closed in the area as well as Austin Street.

The driver was not injured.

The highway reopened around 5 a.m.
