A family on San Antonio's Northwest side is mourning the death of a toddler who was killed Tuesday morning when a car backed over him in the driver way.

Accident investigators said it happened a little before 10 a.m. in the 7600 block of Wood Bluff.

Officials said 3-year-old Jay Villareal was in the driveway behind the vehicle that was backing out.

A relative of the boy said the driver of that vehicle was the boy's grandfather.

Authorities are investigating the accident.
