A driver crashed into a Valero corner store late Sunday evening.

Police said it happened just after 8:30 p.m. in the 16400 block of Nacogdoches.

Police say the driver mistook the gas pedal for the brake and smashed into an cooler and the side wall.

There was significant structural damage to the store. Police said the gas station will be closed for structural integrity tests. No one was injured.
