HOUSTON -

A man was recently caught on surveillance video stealing sporting goods from the baggage claim area at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, police said.

Investigators said the man stole five sets of designer golf clubs and a one-of-a-kind "Moots" mountain bike from the Terminal C baggage claim area between 10:20 and 10:50 p.m. on Aug. 27.

The combined value of the stolen equipment was about $15,000, police said.

In the airport surveillance video, the man, who hired an airport porter to help him, was seen walking out of the airport.

Police said the two loaded up the man's 1990's red Ford Explorer Sport Trac and the suspect took off. Police talked to the porter and said he did nothing wrong.

The suspect remained on the loose and airport officials were asking anyone with information on the theft to call Houston police.
