Two families on the far West Side say thieves have stolen their Christmas decorations.

One family reported a small inflatable penguin and duck yard decoration stolen while residents down the street said their lights were taken.

A surveillance camera at a house a couple of miles away caught someone on tape stealing decorations from another yard. The suspect stole an inflatable sled and snow man, then returned for an inflatable train set and Santa Claus.

The families have expressed their frustration about the situation. One family a message on their garage door, stating: “To whomever stole our inflatable penguin and Christmas ducks, you forgot the box.”

The families said they want everyone in the neighborhood to know that someone is stealing decorations and to be on the lookout.
