The city's 4th of July festivities are underway at Woodlawn Lake Park.
From horseshoes to horsing around, all kinds of families are camped out and ready for fun this 4th.
There are those who've been coming here for years, making this a huge family tradition -- literally.
"If all the family comes out, including kids, there's about 50-75 (people) maybe," said Jesse Castro.
Then there are the first-timers.
"(I) guess we're going to have a good time and see what it's all about," said Juan Nervaiz.
Some families arrived as early as Tuesday to snag a good camping spot.
Meanwhile, food vendors were hard at work serving up the crowd favorites. Many of them say sweating it out year after year is well worth it
"(The) people who serve this country, we celebrate for them," said vendor Gilbert Sandoval.
Games, rides, and live music are happening all day -- and the Woodlawn Lake fireworks show starts around 9 p.m.
