SAN ANTONIO -

A cold front pushed through the San Antonio area Sunday resulting in below-normal temperatures to start the week.

The KSAT 12 weather team says the high temperature on Monday will be much cooler than what we've experienced lately. Temperatures are expected to be in the 60s to near 70.

As the winds die down and skies clear, that will set the stage for temperatures to dip into the mid-30s to near 40 across most of the area Tuesday morning. The Hill Country could get its first freeze of the season.

Temperatures on Tuesday are expected to reach the low to mid-60s in the San Antonio area and a few degrees colder in the Hill Country.

Cold temperatures are expected again Tuesday night, with another freeze possible in the Hill Country.

Temperatures are expected to warm up beginning Thursday, with lows in the 40s to near 50 in San Antonio and the upper 30s in the Hill Country.
