NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas -

Monday was the first official day of business in the newly restored Comal County Courthouse.

Restoration of the historic building has been going on since 2003.

“Everything has been re-done or replicated so that it looks just like it did in 1898 when it was first built,” said County Judge Sherman Krause.

However, the building features computer technology necessary for doing business.

The technology has been hidden for the most part in order not to betray the building’s historic appearance.
