Comal County reinstates burn ban

COMAL COUNTY, Texas -

The Comal County Commissioners Court voted to reinstate the burn ban in the unincorporated areas there starting at 6 a.m. Friday, March 8.

According to a statement issued by Comal County Fire Marshal Wayne Ellington, residents are allowed to use an off-the-ground barbecue pit if it is used for cooking only.

All other outdoor fires are prohibited.

Outdoor welders are asked to call the Fire Marshal's office to receive a verbal safety plan before welding.
