It will be a new life for an old and respected golf course. The owners of Pecan Valley have a plan in place and are ready to build.
Saturday they showed their plans for the new Valor Club to the public, and people seemed impressed.
Foresight Golf has announced plans to build a facility where disabled military veterans and retirees could live and golf.
Their plan also includes an indoor youth sports complex.
They presented the design for the new club, course and apartments to a crowd of the curious visitors.
The Foresight plan calls for using the 182 acre site for a fully accessible nine hole golf course, an apartment building, retirement facility and an Olympic-class sports complex.
The plan also includes extensive green belt trails and park areas, and youth facilities.
Many had argued about redeveloping the golf course that once hosted the PGA championship.
But the Foresight Golf project does include saving nine of the old Pecan Valley's 18 holes as a golf course.
