Officer stopped at light when suspect slams him from behind

A suspected drunk driver crashed into the back of an SAPD officer's car, and now faces DWI charges.
The wreck happened just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police say the officer had stopped at a light at SW Military and Norma when the DWI suspect crashed into that officer's patrol car.
The impact swung the police car around, but neither the officer nor the driver who hit him were injured.
Investigators conducted a field sobriety test on the suspect and charged them with DWI.
