Crime Stoppers asking for public’s help to solve murder
Man’s March shooting death remains a mystery
The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help to solve the murder of 36-year-old Steven Tigar, who was shot and killed on March 6.
Tigar was shot once while riding in a car around midnight on Highway 151 near Loop 410.
Police say Tigar and his friends got into a fight with a group of men at the My House Lounge on the 8000 block of Culebra before the shooting.
When Tigar and his friends left the bar, a black truck followed after them.
But who fired shots from inside that truck remains a mystery.
“I get crazy sometimes. I get mad,” said Tigar’s mother, Ana Tigar. “I just want to find out why they did that to my son.”
As police continue their investigation, the Tigar family is left with questions.
“Whoever did it has to be some kind of coward,” said Ana Escobar, Tigar’s younger sister. “I know they’re probably out there laughing, but I honestly believe there’s some kind of punk out there who had to use a gun for violence.”
Tigar left behind his 8-year-old daughter, who the family says is starting to ask more questions about her father's death. Some of them have yet to be answered.
“Its hardest to live it through her because she's the one who suffers most,” said Escobar.
Crime Stoppers is asking anyone with any information about Tigar’s murder to please call (210)-224-STOP.
"They probably feel they'll get away with it, but at some point their time will come,” Escobar said.
