11 people were arrested last weekend for driving while intoxicated near the the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo.
The Bexar County Sheriff's Office DWI Task Force made the arrests from Thursday, Feb. 7 to Saturday, Feb. 9 as law enforcement patrolled the grounds around the rodeo.
Authorities said they also arrested one person under 21-years-old for a DUI.
In total, 163 people received driving citations for offenses such as illegally changing lanes and lights not working properly.
70 people were ticketed with speeding while 39 people left the rodeo with just warnings.
Five people were arrested for offenses other than DWI and two people were arrested with outstanding warrants.
During one stop, Bexar County Sheriff’s deputies said they seized about 1.5 ounces of cocaine and about $17,000 in cash. The driver claimed to have no knowledge as to why the money was in his vehicle, authorities said.
On another stop, deputies arrested five people for unlawfully carrying a weapon, and seized two semi-automatic weapons.
The BCSO DWI Task Force said it will continue operations this week.
