SAN ANTONIO -

San Antonio police have made a second arrest in connection with a shooting that left a man dead and wounded a 3-year-old girl.

Damien Deleon, 21, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Last Tuesday, San Antonio police arrested Jonathan Miranda in connection with the Nov. 7 shooting in the 200 block of Remolino.

According to an arrest affidavit, 30-year-old Jose Santos Jr. was shot and killed while he was outside the home. Shots were also fired inside the home and hit 3-year-old Jaylyn Vasquez in the arm while she was asleep.

According to the affidavit, witnesses told police Miranda was the man who shot into the house, but neither suspect has been formally charged with Santos' murder.

An investigation is ongoing, but SAPD investigators believe there was a fight before the shooting a day earlier, and Deleon and Miranda returned to the home with plans to finish it.
