Dog rescued from house fire, San Antonio firefighters investigate cause
1900 block Lee Hall
San Antonio firefighters rescued a dog from a Northwest side home where a fire started Wednesday morning.
A basset hound named Diesel was pulled from the home in the 1900 block of Lee Hall after suffering smoke inhalation. The dog was treated at the scene.
Two other dogs that were found underneath the house were unharmed.
A neighbor called the fire department around 7 a.m. after he noticed smoke rising from the house. The couple who lives there was not home at the time.
Firefighters determined the fire originated in the kitchen, but it is unclear whether it was caused by an electrical problem.
Fire officials launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
