A man was hospitalized after San Antonio police said he was shot by his wife Sunday on the Northwest Side.

San Antonio police said the couple was involved in a domestic dispute at a home in the 8700 block of Dumaine when the wife opened fire around 6 p.m.

According to San Antonio police, the husband was shot in the chest area with a small handgun.

He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police have not said if the victim's wife will face charges.
