Driver slams into wall head on near Medical at Wurzbach

SAN ANTONIO -

A driver died late Wednesday night after he crashed into a retaining wall on the Northwest Side.

San Antonio Police responded to the crash in the 9500 block of Interstate 10 West around 11:20 p.m.

Police believe the driver was headed south near Medical and Wurzbach Road when he lost control of his truck and slammed head on into the wall.

The driver was pulled out of the vehicle, but pronounced dead a short time later on the ambulance.

No other injuries were reported. The accident is under investigation and the name of the victim has not been released.
