Driver slams into elderly couple's car, flees scene

Driver ran red light at SW Military, crashed into car and flipped

SAN ANTONIO -

San Antonio police are on the lookout for a driver who ran a red light and slammed into another car early Wednesday morning.

The crash happened around 1 a.m. on Southwest Military Drive and Pleasanton Road.

Police said a pickup truck was speeding on SW Military when the driver ran a red light, struck a car and a utility pole, and flipped over. The driver of the truck then fled the scene on foot.

An elderly couple inside the car that was struck suffered minor injuries, and were treated at the scene.
