Ex-Air Force instructor at Lackland AFB guilty of some counts
Staff Sgt. Craig LeBlanc pleads guilty to some counts, court-martial continues
A former Air Force instructor at Lackland Air Force Base has pleaded guilty to having sex with a basic training recruit and having an affair with another woman who was in technical school.
The San Antonio Express-News reported Wednesday that Staff Sgt. Craig LeBlanc could get more than 15 years in prison and a dishonorable discharge.
LeBlanc pleaded guilty Tuesday to nine misconduct-related charges and specifications during his court-martial at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.
He pleaded not guilty to sexual assault, trying to have a personal relationship with a third trainee and making a false statement.
The trial judge, Col. Donald Eller, says he'll defer sentencing until evidence is heard on those remaining charges.
More than 20 instructors at Lackland remain under investigation for alleged sexual misconduct with female trainees.
