Former Kerr County resident Robert Paul Bales, 61, has been indicted on nearly two dozen counts of possessing child pornography stemming from an investigation by the state Attorney General’s office.
The 21-count indictment stated that investigators searched Bales’ home in Hunt July 19 and found images of nude girls and boys, between the ages of three and 13.
The indictment said the pictures had been downloaded onto a couple of thumb drives.
Jail records show Bales was arrested at that time on one count of child pornography, and that he posted bond and was released.
He was re-arrested Monday evening following his indictment.
As of Wednesday morning, Bales remained in jail.
Bonds set for him total $420,000.
The home that investigators searched this summer is vacant now, according to neighbors.
Outside, a sign is posted advertising the house is for sale.
Jail records show Bales now lives in Pearsall.
