Ex-employee Robert Hetzer accused of stealing car from lot
Robert Hetzer, 38, arrested during traffic stop
Robert Hetzer, 38, who was originally stopped for a traffic violation, is facing even bigger charges.
He’s accused of stealing a car from the auto sales lot where he once worked. Hetzer was arrested Monday on a charge of vehicle theft.
An arrest warrant affidavit stated that San Antonio police stopped Hetzer for a traffic violation on Jan. 18 but later arrested him on a drug related charge.
Hetzer was driving a 2002 Cadillac Deville at the time and the car was impounded, the affidavit stated.
Investigators with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office had received a report a few days before about several vehicles that were missing from County Auto Mart’s lot.
They determined later that the Cadillac was among the cars taken from that lot and that Hetzer was a former employee, the affidavit stated.
