Family gets some much-needed Christmas gifts early
Family in need gets furniture donated
About a year and a half ago, 57 year-old Jose Arriaca got an unexpected surprise.
His daughter went to prison and her three children, Arriaca's grandchildren, all under 10 years-old went to live with him.
"It's very difficult for me right now, but I'm happy because they need someone to stay with them, I'm happy anyway," Arriaca said.
Until Sunday, they didn't have much by way of furniture. But, thanks to Star Furniture, all that changed.
Employees with Star Furniture showed up with a big truck full of brand new furniture for 9 year-old Krista, 7 year-old Carlos and 4 year-old Frankie.
And that wasn't all, they also brought gifts and food for everyone.
Tears streamed down the cheeks of a speechless Arriaca.
Even Rita Rosales with Star Furniture couldn't fight back tears.
"It's emotional. We're happy to do this and help them out,' Rosales said.
Krista and her younger brothers all got new beds and mattresses and Star Furniture teamed up with Santa for a few surprises that will have to wait for Christmas day.
