Family seeks answers after tow truck driver finds crash victim
Luis Navarro found dead after crash on Old Pearsall road
A family is looking for answers after their loved one was found dead by a tow truck driver Saturday morning off Old Pearsall and Medina Base roads.
San Antonio police said Luis Navarro, 48, was headed north on Old Pearsall Road when he lost control of his truck.
The truck flipped over a curb and landed in a brushy area. Navarro was ejected from the truck.
The tow truck driver was about to tow the vehicle when he heard Navarro's phone ring and found his body.
Navarro's wife, Patricia Parker, said she knew something was wrong when she didn't hear from her husband that morning. "When I called him the next morning and he didn't answer the phone," she said. "Or when he didn't call me the first thing in the morning, I knew that something was wrong."
She said her worst fears were realized when she saw Navarro's truck on the news later in the day.
"To find out the way we did," said Parker. "His mom has got to be completely devastated."
Parker said she not only lost her husband, but her best friend and a man that meant a lot to many people, especially her daughter, Chans French, who wrote a note to God, asking how Navarro is doing. "Tell him I love him," said French. "He never gave up. It's sad that he died."
Parker is hoping someone will come forward with information on the rollover crash. San Antonio police are investigating what led up to the accident.
