Richard Morales, 41, and his 24 year old son, Joshua Morales, are facing criminal charges in connection with a beating that left a man hospitalized with a number of broken bones and internal injuries.
The victim told Bexar County sheriff’s detectives that the attack came “without warning” March 22 as he talked with a woman in her front yard on Schmeltzer Street, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
The man said Richard Morales punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground.
Later, he said Joshua Morales showed up and joined in the attack, with both men beating and kicking him, the affidavit stated.
Sheriff’s detectives said the victim suffered broken bones in his face, broken ribs, a lacerated liver and punctured lung.
The affidavit stated that he spent some time in the hospital but was able to identify both suspects in a photo lineup on Wednesday.
Both suspects were arrested Thursday on a charge of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
